Excursionist

An excursionist is a type of tourist who makes a short trip or excursion, usually lasting less than 24 hours, to a destination that is within a short distance from their residence or primary place of stay. The purpose of an excursion is often to explore or visit a specific site, attraction, or event without staying overnight at the destination. Excursionists typically travel for leisure, recreation, or educational purposes, and the trips tend to be more spontaneous or day-oriented rather than long-term travel.

• Leisure or Educational Purposes: Excursions are usually undertaken for relaxation, sightseeing, or educational tours.

• Minimal Costs: Since the trip is short and without accommodation, it tends to be less expensive compared to long vacations.
